The Activism Incubator

BIU's Gender Studies Program promotes social activism that spearheads change, both in Israel and worldwide.  To this end we equip all students and graduates, from all study tracks, with knowledge, guidance and tools for leading activistic endeavors. The trailblazing research, for both the MA and PhD degrees, also impacts and shapes discourse on various sociocultural issues in Israel and elsewhere.

In addition, we are proud to present the unique MA track Gender in the Field, in which students participate in a hands-on practicum in a social-feminist field of their choice. The first and only one of its kind, both in Israel and worldwide, this track enables the implementation of knowledge and tools acquired at the Feminist Activism Incubator, in ventures of activist feminism in the student's chosen field.
