ד"ר סיניאל עתאמנה

ד"ר סיניאל עתאמנה היא בוגרת התוכנית ללימודי מגדר באוניברסיטת בר-אילן. המשיכה את לימודי הפוסט-דוקטורט בבית הספר לחינוך ועבודה סוציאלית באוניברסיטת סאסקס, אנגליה.

מחקרה מתמקד בהצטלבות של מגדר, מעמד וזהות אתנו-לאומית בקרב נשים בחברה הערבית-פלסטינית בישראל. תוך התבססות על מסגרות תיאורטיות פמיניסטיות וסוציולוגיות ביקורתיות, היא בוחנת את חוויות החיים של אימהות ובנותיהן ממעמד העובדים הערבי-פלסטיני בישראל, בפרט בהקשר של חינוך, עבודה בשכר, עוני.

לאחרונה התרחב מחקרה לעיסוק בתעסוקה פוגענית (פְּרֵקָרִיאט),ובאי-שוויון פנסיוני בקרב אימהות ערביות-פלסטיניות מדור ה-Y,תוך בחינת האופן שבו מבנים ניאוליברליים משחזרים "חוזים מגדריים" לאורך קווים אתניים ומעמדיים. עבודותיה התפרסמו בכתבי עת בינלאומיים מובילים.

Dissertation: The relationship between adolescent Arab-Palestinian girls who work while attending school and their mothers living in poverty: Dependency, morality, and responsibility.

2009–2012 - M.A., Tel Aviv University, School of Education, Department of Educational Counseling. Supervisor: Prof. Rachel Gali Cinnamon.
Thesis: Patterns of identity exploration and expectations of future work–family relations among Arab (Muslim and Christian) young women in relation to parents’ education and religion.
